-Was anything that we just covered about teachers use of Social Media surprising to you?

I am pretty aware of the policies regarding social media. I am howver, surprised that even a bikini post is inappropriate. I understand how it could be percieved as such, but I feel it may be gender specific.

-How do you feel about these guidelines?

I believe that the guidelines for teachers are strict, but for good reason. I believe it is important for teachers to use these guidelines as proff to students about the consequences that could happen if somethinginappropriate was posted. This gves a real life example of poor digital citizenship.

-How do you feel about using Social Media as a teacher?

I believe that social media is important for students to be aware of and understand critically. I would only use social media as a way to make a lesson about how to use privacy settings, etc. I a not personally interested in creating a social media for the students to be a part of. I would use a blog for the class, but as an online announcement board or a place post important lessons done in class. This would be more as a information blog rather than where students work was posted.
